Bavarian capital city Munich is always worth a visit!
Mozart’s city Salzburg is visited by guests from different parts of the world.
It is worth it to visit Salzbergwerk (salt mine) in Berchtesgaden as well as to make a boat trip on Königssee.
Innsbruck or the "Pearl of Tyrols", Kufstein are also rewarding places to take an excursion.

Chiemgau
Chiemgau - The region around Chiemsee with the „Royal Castle Herrenchiemsee“ and the „idyllic Fraueninsel“ is called Chiemgau, it borders on Kampenwand, Geigelstein and on our local mountain Hochries to the south (1,669 m).
Hiking, Biking or Swimming
Hiking, biking or swimming – do what you want and what you wish to do. Various places are connected through very well developed hiking and biking routes. You can also create your own route, rest on a bench or make your way to one of the nearest chalets, or even go swimming in one of the numerous lakes. Special for the region: you have free entrance to all swimming places at the lakes in the region.
Outdoor swimming pools are partially heated and our water park with water slides are not only for children!
To spoil yourself you can always visit our Thermal baths with excellent wellness and spa areas.
Climber
Kampenwand, Hochries or Wendelstein are the right places for those who like climbing.
Too much stress? Then just take the cable way or rack railway on Wendelstein.
A fantastic view awaits you: to the north and northeast you will see Chiemgau and in our district capital town of Rosenheim, to the south, you can enjoy unique mountain scenery, in good weather you will even see Italian snow capped mountains!
Culture and customs
Numerous local festivals will help you learn more about our culture and customs of Chiemgau. You will enjoy these events, because they will reveal our „genuine“ character and in any season will give you valuable ideas about our cultural life.
The historical town of Rosenheim offers sport, fun and culture in many different ways. Find yourself in „Good Stube“ in the town, on Max-Josephs-Square – „Hauch aus Italen“ or follow the movie serial on the track from the "Rosenheim-Cops“.
There are small museums everywhere (a guide is available at any time).
Royal Castle Herrenchiemsee and idyllic Fraueninsel, constructed by Ludwig II, should not be left off your list to visit on Chiemsee.
You will hear different music styles from classic to modern, traditional folk music and popular genres. You will meet musicians in the guesthouses, castle and at the concerts – there are many opportunities which satisfy any taste.
Places of interest – not just for children
Our entertainment and fairytale parks are designed not only for children. Visit falconry or go with your children to a pony farm where you can ride and enjoy your holiday.
Special: all the places are easily reachable within a short time.
Wintersport
Sledge, long or snow walks – all this is possible at the door of the hotel. The ski areas at Sudelfeld, Kampenwand or Hocheck and also part of the artificial snow areas are easily reachable for the alpine skier. Ski areas of Austria are also not far away from us.
Ski-school Samerberg provides full support. There are special courses for beginners and for the advanced skiers, with equipment rental.
Sport
Sport activities are unlimited. At our place you will have the opportunity to „try“ something new:
outdoor or indoor tennis; golf in facilities located just 1 km away with an instructor; rafting on Tyroler Ache; paragliding from Hochries (Tandemflight); climbing in mountains or indoor; sailing or riding.
